Congress party announced 5 major promises that they will fulfill if the party comes to ruling after winning the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The Congress Working Committee has released the party manifesto ahead of the Lok Sabha 2024 elections in the coming months and the same has been published on their social media handles.
Congress Manifesto For Lok Sabha Election 2024
1. YUVA NYAY: The congress party had once again focused on the major problem in India through a guarantee program called Yuva Nyay (Justice for Youth). As part of the Yuva Nyay, the youth will receive a permanent recruitment of 30 lakh government jobs in their ruling period.
Along with this, the party assured a guaranteed apprenticeship with a stipend of Rs 1 lakh per year for every graduate and diploma holder where the apprenticeship supports the youth to get permanent jobs. As part of this promise, they also announced that they will make sure that there are no paper leak issues and conduct the exams in a focused manner.
2. YUVA ROSHNI: As part of Yuva Roshini the youth and graduates will receive a startup fund at the district level to the national level and the fund amount will be about Rs5000 crores.
3. NARI NYAY: This is another great promise made by the party where a woman of every poor family will receive Rs1 lakh every year. Along with this financial support to women, the women will have a 50% reservation in all government recruitments.
This promise will also double the central government contributions in salaries to Anganwadi, Asha, and Mid-day meal workers. Also, Adhikar Maitri will be appointed to explain women’s rights and various other schemes. Savitribai Phule working hostel will also be established in every district headquarters across India which will be doubled after establishing them in all districts.
4. KISAN NYAY (Justice for farmers): Sahi dam (the right price) MSP will be issued legal status, which will be done by passing a bill in parliament following Dr. M.S.Swaminathan’s Commission. GST will not be implemented on agricultural markets. Imports and Exports will be implemented to benefit farmers.
5. BIMA SURAKSHA: The amount for crop loss will be sent to the farmer’s bank accounts directly within 30 days of crop loss which can be called a redesign of PM Fasal Bima. KARZA MAFI will decide the amount which farmers get as waived loans.
6. SHRAMIK NYAY: This scheme provides universal healthcare which includes essential diagnostics, medicines, treatment, surgery, and rehabilitation. This scheme will provide a daily wage of Rs. 400 per day for all workers. Employment Guarantee Act for urban areas.
7. SAMAJIK SURAKSHA: Life insurance and accident insurance for unorganized workers.
8. SURAKSHIT ROZGAR: Contractual employment will be eliminated in government functions.
9. HISSEDRI NYAY: The 50% cap on SC, ST, and OBC will be removed through a constitutional amendment. A special budget will be provided for SC, ST which is equal to their share of population. All habilitations where STs are the most populous group will be notified as scheduled areas.
10. FOREST RIGHTS: Forest rights claim will be settled in 1 year under Jal-Jangal-Zameen.
