S. Jaishankar On China
India’s external affairs minister, S. Jaisgankar, criticized China for its claims against Arunachal Pradesh. He said these claims are “ludicrous,” or, in other terms, absurd. Arunachal Pradesh has always been a part of India, and Jaishankar said China’s claim doesn’t have any basis.
S. Jaishankar On Pakistan
He also stated that Pakistan is supporting terrorism at a significant level and has almost made that into a structured industry. This tells us that Pakistan has been supporting and providing resources to terrorist groups and organizations and promoting terrorism. This is specifically causing harm to India and trying to cause instability in India. India, according to Jashankar, will no longer overlook their actions.
While India remains open to dialogue with Pakistan, Jaishankar highlighted that addressing terrorism must be the central focus of any discussions. Any talks or negotiations with Pakistan should primarily revolve around addressing and solving the issue of terrorism funded by Pakistan.
Jaishankar’s statements signify India’s firm stance on diplomatic relations with both Pakistan and China. India is asserting its power and rejecting any baseless claims made by China. Additionally, his statements made it clear that India will be prioritizing the issue of Pakistan-funded terrorism in their interaction with Pakistan rather than ignoring the issue.
