Royal Challengers Bangalore is set to host their 3rd unbox event (RCB Grand Unbox Event 2024) at its home ground Bangalore. The unboxing event is mainly focused on the 12th-man army. In the event, the franchise will introduce new jerseys, players, key members, and induction to the hall of fame.
However, this time it is most special since the franchise is set to bring some changes along with events taking place in the unbox event. We have mentioned why it is special this time and what changes the franchise is looking for.
RCB Grand Unbox Event 2024:
The RCB unbox event started and launched in 2022 when it announced Faf Du Plessis as its captain at Church Street in Bangalore. In 2023, cricket legends AB De Villiers and Chris Gayle were announced into RCB’s Hall of Fame.
This year also it is going to be a special unbox event as the franchise hinted at changing its name for the first time since its launch. Along with the name change at the event, popular DJ artists will be performing at the event alongside introducing New Jersey. RCB Name Change, RCB New Name?:
This year RCB unbox event will be so special since the franchise is going to change its name alongside top DJ artists performing at the event. All this will take place at the unbox event that will be held at M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore which is scheduled for 19th March 2024 from 4.00 pm.
It is said that popular DJ artist Alan Walker will be performing at the event which will also be live on the social media handles of RCB. As per reports, the franchise is going to change its name which is likely to be renamed as “Royal Challengers Bengaluru”. Along with Alan Walker Kannada industry stars will be attending the event where the franchise has teased a few names such as Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, and Rishab Shetty. Even cricket stars will also be attending the event.

Hope For Change:
The event will be held just before 3 days of their first match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The name change is not yet officially confirmed but the teaser on the RCB unbox event looks as if the franchise is likely to consider a name change. This is after some hope that may bring luck to the franchise since the team has never won a title. RCB has reached the finals of 2009, 2011, and 2016 IPL but never won the title in any finals.
IPL First Match:
The first match of the 17th season of IPL 2024 is set to start on 22nd March, which is being held between RCB vs CSK at MA Chidambaram stadium. The RCB unbox event is set to be held on 19th March 2024. The first match of the season itself will be a full drama since Virat Kohli will be on the ground after a long gap of 2-3 months while MS Dhoni will be back again.
JAY SHAH CONFIRMS: BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed that the whole season of IPL 2024 will take place only in India and will not be shifted to UAE.
