Loneliness Epidemic: A New Pandemic Declared by WHO

Loneliness is a new pandemic declared by WHO. After many surveys conducted across various streams in many countries, many people choose to live alone and countries like America, Brazil, South Africa etc., have the highest rate of people feeling loneliness. There might be several reasons for it but the effect of loneliness is unimaginable where it depends on their mental health.

World Health Organization (WHO) has recently stated that 1 out 4 people are suffering from loneliness which may increase the suicide and death rate to 25-30%. This a is rising concern in aging people which is more effective than obesity, smoking and other diseases. Countries like America declared this as an epidemic and looking for professionals who can cure this.

This loneliness has been observed more in senior citizens and this is becoming more common in infants nowadays raising concerns over mental health. The newly appointed team at WHO is looking for ways to cure this epidemic. In the world of technology, everyone is occupied with their work leaving a gap between one other and not having interest in other activities which is causing this kind of disease.

Physical health issues can be cured with medication but mental health cannot be cured and professionals are trying to find a cure for this social isolation or loneliness. The COVID pandemic which has built a gap between everyone has hit hard and due to this, it has increased in significant numbers due to many issues faced by the people who treat this as an option to avoid the problems occurring in their daily lives which leads to a dangerous suicidal thoughts, depression and going mad.

There is no cure or treatment for this kind of disease as of now. who are suffering from this need to be very courageous to defeat and come out of this problem and who are not need to be cautious about this. Those who are affected by this disease are utmost negatively impacted by society and decide to quit society and punish themselves by social isolation or loneliness having no connections with the world leading to many other mental issues.

Many experts across the world are working for a cure to this disease but nothing positive over physical medicine and the only solution is to not pressurise and push people to have great results on anything that might negatively impact their mental health and the WHO team along with the newly appointed team to address social issues have stated that they have been working with experts on a solution which is the latest epidemic
