The Russia vs Ukraine war is on the verge of ending as Russia Claims its victory by capturing Avdiivka from Ukraine after 10 years in full-fledged control.

Russia Wins the Avdiivka City:

Ukrainian troops have withdrawn from the heavily damaged, eastern, densely populated town of Avdiivka, officially confirmed by Kyiv’s official military chief on Saturday! Russian President Vladimir Putin hailed the city’s capture as “an important victory,” marking Russia’s significant advance since seizing the city of Bakhmut last May.

This development underscores the shifting dynamics of the conflict, with Ukraine facing severe ammunition shortages amidst delays in US military aid.

The withdrawal from Avdiivka, a crucial moment in Russia’s favor, follows a failed Ukrainian counteroffensive against Russian lines last year. US President Joe Biden expressed concerns over Avdiivka’s potential fall to Russian forces due to ammunition shortages, urging Congress to pass a military aid package for Ukraine urgently.

Zelenskiy And Joe Biden:

In a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Biden reiterated “the US commitment to support Ukraine and emphasized the need for Congress to pass the aid package promptly.” White House in USA attributed Ukraine’s withdrawal to “congressional inaction,” resulting in ammunition rationing & enabling Russia to make significant gains in politics

Putin congratulated Russian military units on their success in capturing Avdiivka, presenting accolades to troops and their commander. The city’s capture is anticipated to boost morale for Russia, particularly ahead of Putin’s upcoming reelection bid, while further solidifying Moscow’s grip on Donetsk, a regional center held by Russian and pro-Russian forces since 2014

Although Russia has not disclosed its losses in the conflict, Ukrainian officials and Western analysts note substantial casualties and equipment losses incurred by Russian forces. Putin is hugely acknowledging the sacrifice of Russian soldiers, paying tribute to them for the last time to the people who lost their lives in the mission!

Zelenskiy commended Ukrainian troops for their efforts in Avdiivka, stating that the decision to withdraw was made to save lives amid the exhausting confrontation with Russian forces.
