Nirbhay Thacker Journey:
Nirbhay Thacker was born in 2002 in Bhuj city, Gujarat. He started his fast-track education in class 8th where he completed all the classes of 8th – 10th in just 6 months.
Then he completed 11th and 12th within the next 3 months of the same year. The secondary school certification (SSC) was given by “Cambridge International Examinations” under the ‘International General Certificate of Secondary Schooling’ (IGCSE) and completed his High School Certification at 13 years of age.
BTech Course In 1 Year:
He decided to take the BTech Course and took the mains exam in which he scored 75 marks out of 365 marks. Nirbhay completed the 4 Years Course in a single year which is very unique and achieved his degree just at the age of 15 years (2018).
He became the youngest engineer and received his degree from Gujarat Technological University (GTU).

His father said that he achieved this feat by focusing on concepts rather than marks. He used to study not just by reading but also by listening, visualizing, and finding the application of concepts which makes him learn quickly without fear of marks. Nirbhay’s parents supported him only to focus on understanding concepts rather than marks and failure.
10 More Degrees In Next 3 Years:
Nirbhay said that he is ready to take up 10 more degree courses in the next 3 years as many subjects are common after completing the BE Course. His education was approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) along with the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). Already an IIT institute has consulted him regarding the PhD course in their institute along with offering money.
What Is a Fast Track Education Program?:
“The most reliable version of the same degree with all the benefits of full-time education is called fast track education”.
One can pursue a degree through fast fast-track education system which is legal in India, if one wants to complete the degree in a quick time. Few universities accept the application for this kind of education and one has to make sure about the universities which are UGC-DEB approved.
Only the universities that are UGC-DEB approved accept the applications for fast-track education. This education comes under Open And Distance Learning(ODL) but it is considered full-time education and recognized by the government.
Fast Track Education Program Features:
- Since fast-track education is approved by the government legally there are no concerns or problems in this regard and it provides huge flexibility of learning.
- Fast-track education is also recognized in foreign universities as well, so one can pursue a degree at any stage of education without thinking about the kind of education.
- This fast-track education system is available only at a few universities and it is mandatory to provide required documents as stated by the university like a certificate of completion of previous classes and other documents as well.
- One can attend the government exams by completing the degree through fast-track education too.

Nirbhay Thacker Future Plans:
Nirbhay intends to enter into research and product development with all the degrees providing multi-disciplinary approaches. He said all these degrees contribute to the development of R&D centers for the defense industry in India which is his main and long-term goal.

Nirbhay aimed to get degrees from branches of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical, Computer, and automation which are part of his 10 engineering degrees in 3 – 4 years. He joined IIT Gandhinagar to work in research and product development and wanted to work on Next-Gen technology in the Defence sector.
Nirbhay got special approval for completing the degrees of his interest from AICTE and ACPC. He proved that there are no limits to improving knowledge with interest and perseverance. Nirbhay’s education is a unique inspiration for the importance of improving knowledge rather than securing marks.
