Goa New Tourism Initiative
Tourists visiting Goa for a vacation can have their work presence if needed since the government is planning to introduce co-working spaces. These co-working spaces will be introduced at Morjim and Ashwen beaches.
This comes after the government plans to promote tourism not only for vacations but also for other activities. This announcement was made at the World’s leading Travel Trade Show that lasted for 3 days. The state also plans to introduce a Nomad Visa for people who want to visit Goa, to work and enjoy the beaches. The state government already sent a proposal to introduce Nomad Visas.
The co-working spaces will be ready soon and will be made available after the Lok Sabha elections which are being developed to facilitate the same.
Government To Improve Tourism Sector
The state government is in a plan to improve the tourism sector in the state by involving local people, culture, cuisine, festivals along farmers through this initiative. The development of temples and churches will also be covered under this initiative. As part of developing temples, it has already signed an agreement with Temple Connect.
All these are being covered under regenerative tourism. Alongside the initiative, visitors will get spice and cashew food directly from farms that promote fresh food. Hiking was also introduced for visitors by the tourism department. Festivals will also be promoted which are similar to festivals celebrated in Spain. Chikhal Kalo festival is where people play with mud which is similar to the Tomatina festival in Spain. Many other festivals will be introduced in the coming days as part of the initiative.
International Tourists
All these developments are introduced to welcome tourists from Europe and other destinations who spend much for good all-round experiences, during their vacations. It has already promoted a carnival which is celebrated every year, in a similar way many festivals similar to other country festivals will be introduced in Goa.
All these developments provide an option for tourists across the world to visit Goa, where they will get an all-round experience upon visiting. The concept of co-working spaces on beaches will be introduced by the Department led by Minister Rohan Khaunte who also issues Nomad visas. The state government has communicated with the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and External Affairs Ministry to provide Nomad visas for such kinds of tourists.
