Here Is the List of Things You Should Know About Ram Mandir:

  1.  The stone that is used for carving SHRI RAM IDOL is around 3 billion years old.
  2. The RAM LALLA idol is placed in the MAIN SANCTUM SANTORUM with the first floor dedicated to SHRI RAM DARBAR.
  3. The Ayodhya Ram Mandir is 3 stories tall with each floor remaining 20 feet and a total of 161 feet height from the ground which was built in traditional NAGARA STYLE.
  4.  There are a total of 392 pillars with 44 gates installed along with 14 golden doors in the temple
  5. A total of 5 pavilions are available in the temple named NRITYA MANDAP, RANG MANDAP, SABHA MANDAP, PRARTHANA MANDAP, AND KIRTAN MANDAP
  6. The first golden door is 12 feet high and 8 feet wide which opens the door on the upper floor of SANCTUM SANTORUM with another 13 golden doors in the temple
  7.  Four corners of the compound wall have four mandirs which are dedicated to SUN GOD, GODDESS BHAGWATI, LORN GANESH, and LORD SHIVA.
  8. The temple of MAA ANNAPURNA in the northern arm and the temple of HANUMAN JI in the southern arm is constructed along with temple pillars and walls carved with deities, gods, and goddesses’ replicas.

  11. No iron has been used in the entire construction of the temple and the foundation is laid through a 14-meter-thick layer of ROLLER COMPACTED CONCRETE (RCC) technology
  12. To protect from ground moisture the temple is built with a 21-foot-high plinth has been constructed using GRANITE
  13. Entry to the temple will be from the east side which is ascending by 32 stairs through the Singh Dwar however, there are provisions of ramps and lifts for differently-abled and elder people
  14. A Pilgrim facility center has been built with a capacity of 25,000 people with lockers and medical facilities along with bathrooms, toilets, and open taps made available
  15. Sewer & water treatment plants, firefighting, and independent power stations have been built for minimum dependence on external resources.
  16. The temple is constructed completely according to INDIAN tradition and with indigenous technology with special attention towards environment and water conservation.

The Timeline Of Ram Mandir:

1St Ram Mandir:

The first Ram mandir was built in Ayodhya by Kusha who is a son of LORD RAMA with more than 4000 temples built by the end of 500 BC.

Ram Mandir Demolition And Masjid Construction:

1526 – After the win of KING BABAR against IBRAHIM LODI, BABAR demolished all the temples in AYODHYA and built a masjid.

1528BABRI MASJID was built in place of lord ram’s birthplace AYODHYA by demolishing LORD RAMA’s temple in the name of KING BABAR as per reports and even AYODHYA was called FAZIABAD earlier.

1717 RAJA JAY SINGH gained a small land outside of the masjid for temple prayers and the land was known as “RAM CHABUTRA”

Struggles For Ram Mandir:

1813 – A group of people filed a case against demolishing the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the British government where the Britishers held surveys and found traces of the temple.

1852 – Hindus started going into masjids to do prayers causing huge fights until 1855.

1855 – The court held orders that the masjid was only for Muslims and then Hindus came into ram “Chabutra” to do prayers again.

Fights For Ram Mandir:

1883MAHANTH RAGHUBIR filed a case against AYODHYA’S BABRI MASJID due to the rejection of court approval for doing prayers in Ram Chabutra.

1934 – Due to the fights between Hindus and Muslims the BABRI Masjids were damaged, and even this raised huge fights later.

1949JAWAHGAR LAL NEHRU ordered to closing of the area with a suggestion from the collector of KK. NAYAR as the fights and issues became huge.

1950HINDU MAHASABHA LAWYER GOPAL SINGH VISHARD JI filed a case to hold prayers in Babri Masjid but no response leading to 30 years of arguments between Muslims and Hindus.

Pursuit:

1980 – The BJP Government supported in highlighting the case.

1989 – Many tried to file cases to build the temple which failed where VISHWA HINDU PARISHAD started a nationwide movement to build a temple in Ayodhya by placing the first stone of the temple.

1990 – Huge rallies held by L.K. ADVANI under his LEADERSHIP called RATHA YATRA provoked many people to violence which led to the arrest of Advani but the rally did not stop and progressed under the BJP Government and VISHWA HINDU PARISHAD.

1992BJP and VHP called for a resolution meeting with lakhs of people attending but at the same time many people who were provoked due to Advani took against the masjid for damaging it which led to the deaths of 20 VHP volunteers. Later this incident changed into critical fights between Hindus and Muslims.

1992On 6th December BABRI MASJID was demolished during nationwide violent strikes which needed huge repairs after it.

2002VAJPAYEE held a meeting for resolution but before that Muslims killed 58 Hindus by causing a train fire accident which was known as GODHRA INCIDENT and later finally Allahabad High Court began a court case to decide whose land it was?

2003 ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) found traces of a temple under the mosque but opposite boards claimed it was fake.

2010 – 2018 – Countless hearings & disputes took place to share land between Hindus, Muslims, and Sthalanni Hindus but all of them rejected the proposal then courts asked for exact proof so that a decision could be made without issues or opposition.

2019On 9th November a five-judge bench ordered the Building of Ayodhya Ram Mandir in Ram Birthplace along with issuing 5 acres of land to build the Mosque in DHANNIPUR, AYODHYA, and no rights for land of NIRMOHI AKHARA and stated if needed Hindus can give respectable position in temple trust.

2020On 5th August PM MODI laid the foundation to start the construction works of Ram Mandir.

2024On 22nd January Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration after 500+ years of dispute & long history.
